Vrindala Khatu Shyam Baba Pendant

The centre of this pendant is a carved face of Khatu Shyam Baba in deep black — the moustache, beard and features worked by hand, the tilak marked in white and red across the brow. Above it sits a turban wrapped in enamelled bands of red and green, edged in close-set stones, and crowned by a single peacock feather in green enamel with a blue stone at its eye. It is the classic Shyam Baba shringar, rendered in miniature.

Below the face, a collar of stones opens into a wide chandelier of rose-cut settings, gathering into a marquise-set point at its base. Golden ear ornaments and small floral studs flank the sides, and five polished rose-pink drops fall free beneath gold caps, swaying with movement.
